Comparative Analysis of Strength and Modal Characteristics of a Full Tubular Pump and an Axial Flow Pump Impellers Based on Fluid-Structure Interaction

Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) was used to determine the structural mechanical characteristics of full tubular and axial-flow pumps. The results showed that as flow rate increases, total deformation equivalent stress are significantly reduced. max (MTD) (MES) pump impeller occur on outer edge blade. There two concentrations in impeller, one which is located outlet area rim, other hub. However, MES appears center blade performance difference between mainly caused by clearance backflow. natural frequency lower than basis modal results. concentrated at junction motor rotor, thickness rim 6mm, can be more prone cracks seriously affect safety stability pump.
